About Me

September 2019 – After my ICP Monitoring

Hi, I’m Lynzy! I’m 31 years young (tell that to my joints!) and for most of my adult life I’ve felt like something was wrong with my body. It used to be a running joke in our family how much Lynzy can sleep and how every year Lynzy gets sick on her birthday. I’ve always battled my body but didn’t understand why.

On September 12, 2018 I woke up with a headache that never went away. Over the next year, I would get several diagnoses: CSF Leak, Pseudotumor Cerebri, chronic migraines, hypermobile connective tissue disorder (EDS), NDPH (new daily persistent headache), tinnitus, pseudoseizures, Cervicalgia, depression and anxiety.

Since this all started, my illnesses have stolen things from me: my job, my life, most of my friends, my faith, my marriage. I went through some pretty dark times. But through it all, I still see hope. I use social media and blogging as a way to connect with others who have chronic illness. I have found so much hope in their stories, and my wish is that someone else will maybe find some hope in mine. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
